Why houses here get dirty so fast.

Between the humidity and the pine pollen, the Triangle is about the worst place in the country for algae on a north-facing wall. It is not dirt you can hose off, it is a living organism, and it comes back faster every year you leave it.

Most houses around here want a wash every twelve to eighteen months. Roofs go two to three years. Driveways are yearly if you park on them. Shaded lots and anything under hardwoods are on the shorter end of all of that.

Spring and early fall book up first, and rain moves the schedule, so calling a couple of weeks ahead gives you the most choice on days.
